About Us
The Office of Academic and Research Safety (OARS) partners with Northeastern University’s faculty, staff, and students to offer expertise with chemical, biological, radiological, and other safety programs and best practices.
We manage the following services and resources:
- Oversight of the OARS Risk Management Platform.
- Laboratory, biological and radiation safety programs.
- Maintenance and updates to the required safety training platform.
- Consultative services to labs, shops and studios on a wide range of safety matters.
- Supports the University to meet and exceed all federal, state and local laws.
